Temperature Increases Lawn and Garden Activity

Spring’s early arrival this year brought with it earlier lawn and garden advertising. According to the Arbitron Get-A-GRiP ™ web-based application, there was a significant rise in the ratings points placed as the temperature rose.

In the March 21 issue of Inside Radio, Evan Gold, SVP of client services, Planalytics, noted that marketers are now embracing more weather-related advertising. “When you get in front of consumers at the same time that they’re already thinking about buying the product, the more likely they will buy yours—if you’ve targeted the advertisement to the right place,” he said.
