If you're an Arbitron-subscribing radio station, the Arbitron Radio Advisory Council (RAC) is your advocate! We act as the voice of subscribing radio stations, advising Arbitron on issues important to radio and helping improve Arbitron's services and policies. The Council also reviews proposed modifications to the radio measurement service, providing Arbitron with important industry feedback on changes before they are implemented.
This important link between you and Arbitron is composed of your peers in the radio industry. The Arbitron Radio Advisory Council comprises 23 members—a combination of both elected and appointed positions. Elected Council members are drawn from various radio format and market size categories, and are voted for by their peers. Two research representatives, one group researcher, a group programmer and an at-large member are all Council appointed. In addition, each of Arbitron’s five largest radio station group customers has one appointed seat on the Council. The Chairman and Vice Chairman are chosen from the body of Council members.
The Council meets three times a year (more often if warranted). In addition, Council members and Arbitron executives communicate frequently via conference calls and e-mail, all with the goal of representing your interests as an Arbitron customer!
To help the Council work more
