Weekly PPM Data

"PPM™ Weeklies" are made available available free of charge to any interested radio station client who signed a license agreement stating that the estimates would be used for analysis only and would not be used for buying or selling.

Downloading the Data
These weekly data will be available for download from tapmedia.com at 12PM (ET) on the delivery date. Radio stations who are licensed to use the PPM data will receive an e-mail with the username and password they will use to access the data. If you already have access to TapMedia® for any of our other services, you will use your existing username and password.

Here's how to download the weekly data:

  1. Go to http://www.tapmedia.com.
  2. Enter your user name and password on the TapMedia login page.
  3. Click "Search" on the File Library window.
  4. Using the "Type" drop-down menu, select "Arbitron PPM Weeklies Data."
  5. To select individual files to download from the resulting list, click once in the box to the left of the filename. A checkmark indicates that the file is selected. To download all items in the list, select the "All" box located in the upper left-hand corner.
  6. Enter the path, C:\download, in the "Destination" box. All the files you select are downloaded to the "download" folder on your C drive. If the folder does not exist, one is automatically created.
  7. Click the "Download Now" button. If the Security Warning window opens, click "Yes." The AppeletFile Download window will open. All the files you have selected in step one are listed. Click "Save All."

If your radio station is licensed to use PPM Data and you did not receive an e-mail with your username and password, if you've lost yours, or if you have trouble downloading your data, please contact PPM Customer Support at (866) 776-8300.

Installing the Data
Once you've installed the PPM Weeklies Tool onto your PC, you'll be able to load in the data you've downloaded from TapMedia. Here's how:

  1. Open the PPM Weeklies Tool
  2. From the "Utilities" tab, select "Install Survey Data"
  3. Right mouse-click on the "Month" column and select "Install/Remove Data."
  4. Select "Install Data" (C:\download).
  5. Choose dates. Select "OK."
  6. Select "Yes" to move files.
  7. Select "Yes" to update configuration and database files.
  8. Select "Yes" to update channels list.
