Welcome to the first edition of the RADAR Tips newsletter, providing you with shortcuts and tips to simplify working with the RADAR PC 2010 software.

You’d picked a daypart for a series of parts that you’d like to add for your rotation plan and hit the Hold button. You clicked away, adding a series of networks. Suddenly you came to a Multi-Daypart Program (MDP) network and the Hold button lost its grip!
Now, beginning with RADAR 87, the Hold button stays put, even when you're adding MDP networks, letting you easily add a whole group of networks with fewer clicks!
As
you add Parts to your rotation plan, you’ve decided to add all the
units available in each Part. In the past, you had to know how many units
were available, maybe looking first in Scan or Targets or clicking the
Parts View button then counting all the units.
Now … you can just click the new Add All Units in Selected Part(s) button, which displays the number, and it will appear in the Number of Units box. Then click the Add Part button and move on to your next Part.
Much faster!
Network
Radio Today is the latest in Arbitron's series of publications
that offers detailed views of how consumers use radio. Network
Radio Today includes RADAR® National Radio Network Ratings,
which measures audiences to network radio commercials. You'll be amazed
at network radio's reach among listeners of all ages, ethnicities and
lifestyles.
Decide
to change the number of units selected for a plan after you’ve already
added all the PARTS? Just place the cursor over the Units box and press
the Alt key while clicking on the box to change.
A box will appear allowing you to change the units. Click OK and there’s the new Units value without going through the whole Revise method.
Want
to quickly rank networks by a Sex/Age or Socio-Economic or Daypart category?
Use the Reorder button in TARGETS to get a new view of many or all networks.
Click the Reorder button at the top of the screen and select the column you’d like. TARGETS will reorder the rows in your new order. To see the ranks, click the Data menu, Rankings option.
To view Socio-Eco or Daypart categories in the columns and then sort on them, click the Format button and then the Reorder button.
