PARTS Made Easier to Use

part_screenSeveral enhancements have been made to the PARTS Reach & Frequency software to make life easier for users.

View the Total number of Units or GRPs selected for your plan.

Expand, stretch, move or scroll the screens.

Under the File menu, there's a new option to Export Parts.

See a running "Total Units in Selected Part(s)" displayed after each selection on the Add/Revise/Insert screens.

Custom Dayparts (File menu) are now easier to save (in SOS, too).

Now Run 10 Prior Studies From Any Current Application

RADAR targetsIn the past, only the Trends reports of SCAN and SCAN-ONE provided data for 10 prior studies.

Now, if you have installed all prior studies, you will be able to access their data within any of the current applications.

Look under the File menu, Prior Studies.

Tip:  Only current Socio-Eco categories and networks included in the selected release will display.

How Many GRPs Does Each Network Deliver?

RADAR Reference Guide cover imageAn agency asked:  "How do I select the networks for a 200 GRP plan for Women 25-54, Overall U.S., Mon-Fri 6A-7P and see how many GRPs each network provides?”

  1. First, select the Network Ranker report in SCAN, enter your Specs and be sure to choose the All Broadcasts (with xb Dayparts) option to see the xb networks (those that don’t have broadcasts in all the component dayparts within the broad daypart). Note the networks for your demo.
  2. Now go to PARTS, add the networks and target demo group and change the Mode (use Menu or button) to GRPs For Plan. (Or select the networks using SOS as done here.)
  3. After clicking Tabulate, a screen appears asking for the number of GRPs for the Plan.
  4. From the PARTS Basic Reach & Frequency Screen, select the Data menu, Part Audiences & Ratings report.
  5. Select Gross - All Units to see the GRPs for each Part in the plan and By Target Audience.
  6. See how much each network Part delivers in rank order.

Tips: Use Custom Dayparts (File menu on main Parts screen) to limit your Parts to specific days of the week.

Use the Tabulation screen’s File menu to export the report to a CSV file and open in Excel.

Use SOS to select By Daypart and the Tools menu to transfer to PARTS. Then use Mode:  GRPs Per Part.
