Can I Combine ACT 1 Results with RADAR?

act1 import imageWant to know how to combine Arbitron Nationwide data using ACT 1 Systems, Inc. software with RADAR PC 2010 software to see a combined Reach and Frequency report?

First, tabulate audience estimates in either PARTS or SPOTS, and then click the RADAR Plus button to bring the RADAR data into RADAR Plus. Use the RADAR Plus file menu to import Nationwide data from ACT 1 into RADAR (must be an ACT 1 Systems, Inc. subscriber).

  • Units, gross impressions, reach and cost data (if available) will be imported via an ARP file from ACT 1 Systems, Inc.
  • For specific import requirements, consult the RADAR Plus Help, ACT 1 Systems Inc. Import screen.

Tip:  Make sure to match the socio-eco/sex-age targets used in both the RADAR Plus and ACT 1 applications, and don’t forget to include the number of units in ACT 1.

How Can I See Costs in PARTS?

costs in parts imageIf you'd like to add costs when considering which Parts to include in a schedule, just click the Edit menu, Rates option on the initial Parts entry screen. Then you can take advantage of PARTS' Cost Analysis reports.

When you Add Parts, you can add a Rate per Unit for each part. After tabulating, you'll have two more reports available under the Data menu:

  • Schedule Cost Analysis—an analysis of audience in relation to the cost of the rotation plan.
  • Part Cost Analysis—an analysis of the audience of each part in the rotation plan in relation to the cost of those parts.

Tip:  These reports are available only if the Rates option was activated and rates were assigned to all parts.
