Look on the Right Side!

These are reference materials to help you use the RADAR software and understand the methodology and the terminology. This issue of RADAR Tips focuses on the right side of the Desktop.

What’s in the Reference Guide?

  • What the terms used in the software mean (see the glossary);

  • A table of population estimates by demographics.

Learn what reports are available and the specifications that must be selected to create the reports. View lists of all the demographics.

Tip:  The Getting Started sections on Targets, Parts, Market-by-Market Analysis and SOS help new users with step-by-step instructions.

 


Readme’s for the Techies

Technical staff can use the Readme.txt file when installing the RADAR software. It is designed to answer questions like:

  • Where should the files be stored?
  • How do I install the software on a network?
  • What’s the Workstation for?
  • Can more than one RADAR application be run at the same time?
  • How do I reach RADAR technical support?

 


Lists to Make Your RADAR Use Easier

RADAR lists imageThese four PDF files, which can be easily printed for your use, provide frequently accessed information.

  • Network Affiliates displays all the affiliated stations for each network. Use the Bookmarks section on the left side to quickly jump to a network or search for a station with Edit/Search.
  • Network Dayparts shows the reportable dayparts for each network and how many broadcasts are in each daypart.
  • Network Codes is an alphabetic list of all RADAR-reported networks for this study, including both the three-letter codes used in the PC 2010 software and the two letter codes used in reports such as POSTS.
  • Footnotes explains the special notations used throughout the RADAR software.
