Respondent-Level Data vs. Hispanic Summary Data Sets

Arbitron distributes two types of data profiling Hispanic listeners:

RLD gives you access to the richest data available from the information Arbitron gathers about radio listeners: from ethnicity, language spoken to geography and more. Available in more than 89 markets, this data releases quarterly in most markets.

Hispanic Summary Data sets are not as detailed as RLD, used by third-party software providers, only available in a few markets and delivered only twice per year.

Why are my Hispanic ratings different from the stations?
RLD is always the most current and highest quality data available, and this is what radio stations use. RLD is also available for agencies and advertisers. Those that use it experience the most up-to-date, language-specific, Hispanic data available. Because the Hispanic Summary Data is a combination of two books over a six-month period, those that use Hispanic Summary Data will see differences in the ratings from those using the most up-to-date RLD.

Why use RLD rather than Hispanic Summary Data sets?
RLD allows you to get the most current Hispanic ratings (releasing quarterly in most markets) for 89 markets in the U.S. Hispanic Summary Data sets are available in only 32 markets and are a delivery of combined surveys that are re-weighted and released only twice a year.

How can RLD drive better results?
RLD is the most up-to-date and powerful data in the marketplace. It puts you on par with others using RLD and, thus, facilitates the buy/sell process. It allows the buyer/planner to customize ratings based on language usage, ethnicity and geography. With RLD, you can also customize your dayparts and look at socioeconomic criteria, such as HH income levels, employment status, presence of children in a household and more.
