Pierre Bouvard

Pierre Bouvard is president, Sales and Marketing, responsible for commercializing Arbitron's Portable People Meter (PPM™) service both domestically and internationally. Prior to this, Pierre served as president, International and New Ventures, and prior to that was vice president and general manager for Worldwide Media Information Services.

Pierre initially joined Arbitron in July 1983 and served Arbitron in various sales and management capacities, rising from client service representative to manager in the Chicago, San Francisco, New York and Dallas offices. He left Arbitron for a six-year period, when he was executive vice president of Coleman Research, one of the premier strategic consulting firms for radio stations. Pierre rejoined the company in February 1995.

Pierre is coauthor of Radio Advertising’s Missing Ingredient: The Optimum Effective Scheduling System. Pierre also created Arbitron's series of industry studies covering radio, outdoor, Internet broadcasting and cinema advertising.

Pierre is a trustee of American Women in Radio and Television, the International Radio and Television Society and the Library of American Broadcasting, and he serves on the board of the Adify Corporation.

A graduate of Northwestern University, Pierre holds a B.S. degree in radio, television and film, and is a graduate of the Advanced Management program at The Wharton School.

Pierre lives in New York and works out of the New York office.
